We take the Chargers and get eight and a half points on Sunday in Kansas City. Model line: Chargers by 2 • market: Kansas City −8½ (opened −8 in August and barely moved) • net edge +10.1 points, the widest disagreement on the Week 6 board. The pick only misses if the Chiefs win by nine or more.
Tampa Bay +9½ at Dallas cashed — the Cowboys won 24–16, by exactly eight, so the ticket covered at both the 9½ close and the 8½ tick. Featured record stands 4–1. This week's call — Chargers +8½ in Kansas City, +10.1 net edge — is broken down below, with the full 14-game board on the Week 6 hub → and the graded archive on the season summary →
The reasoning
A frozen August price on a season that has been moving for five weeks.
Kansas City is 4-0 and coming off a bye, and the market prices that perfection at eight and a half. Here is the exhibit: the line in this game went up in August at eight — before either team played a down — and it has not moved since. Four weeks of results in one direction, zero points of movement in the price. Meanwhile the projection grades this game Chargers by 2 outright.
We will read the other folder out loud, because we always do: Los Angeles is 0-5, and two of those losses came at home by 12 — to Arizona and to Las Vegas. Three of the five were one-score games, and nothing on that ledger supports a more-than-a-touchdown gap in this matchup. A winless team getting points against a rested dynasty is exactly the number the public piles against, which is why the price is fat — and fat prices are where the sheet eats. We will say the risk plainly: if the Chargers are simply bad, the number eats us alive. Ten points of daylight between the auction and the ratings does not survive on math that has been checked.
The market charges a bye week and a perfect record. The ratings charge two points. August prices don't know what September did.

Two more spots cleared the conviction threshold
The market charges a touchdown-plus of brand pricing for a 5-and-0 Niners team whose last three wins came by 6, 10, and 3; the projection makes Washington the better side by 2. Monday night.
Last week's 26–3 receipt is on the wall and we see it — but the projection still makes Tennessee a 1½-point favorite in this building, and the market lays 7 with a Colts team that just lost at home to Pittsburgh by 12. Sunday.
